Soeks 02M DUO - Geiger counter, ionizing radiation meter

The Soeks 02 Duo Geiger counter is a professional Geiger counter. It registers beta, gamma, and X-ray (Roentgen) radiation. The device allows you to measure background radiation levels, quickly locate radiation sources, and record the absorbed radiation dose. The Soeks 02 Duo meter allows you to save and read measurement history.

The Soeks 02 Duo dosimeter can operate synchronously on the SBM-20 and SBM-21 counters or on only one of them. This version has a much wider measurement range than other Geiger counters thanks to the use of an additional SBM-21 tube. It is a device dedicated to people who are looking for something more than a dosimeter for general radiological protection. Geiger counter alarm signaling

The Soeks Geiger counter allows you to set alarm levels at which an alarm will be activated if the background radiation level and the accepted radiation dose are exceeded. You can also specify the parameters of the alarm signal - audible and visual. Alarm signals can also be given via the device's illuminated keys. There are three alarm levels available, depending on the radiation level:

• green (radiation level normal)
• yellow (elevated radiation level)
• red (dangerous radiation level)

Measurement of ionizing radiation (radioactivity)

In order to measure the background radiation of food products, building materials, and other objects, the following steps should be taken:

1. Determine the background radiation level at a distance of several meters from the object under investigation.
2. Bring the Geiger counter closer to the object being tested and measure the background radiation as close to it as possible.
3. Compare the results obtained during both measurements. If the background radiation level at the object being tested is higher than the result of the first measurement, it means that the object being tested has an elevated level of radioactivity.
