Soeks 01M NEO - Geiger counter, dosimeter

Soeks 01M NEO is a radiation meter based on a Geiger-Muller tube (dosimeter) designed to measure ionizing radiation - gamma, beta, and X-rays (X-rays). The device can measure the absorbed radiation dose as well as the background radiation level. Soeks 01M NEO can, among other things, detect objects, food, and building elements containing radioactive materials. It can also be used to measure radiation on humans and animals. Its compact size allows you to always have the meter with you; you can even keep it in your pocket.

For those who need more than basic radiological protection, there is also a version of the dosimeter with two Geiger tubes - Soeks 02M DUO. It has a much wider measurement range thanks to the use of an additional SBM-21 tube. The highest model of the SOEKS Geiger counter is also available - Soeks Quantum.

Soeks 01M NEO Geiger counter

The dosimeter allows for quick determination of background radiation levels, rapid detection of radiation sources, recording of cumulative (absorbed) radiation doses, and saving and viewing measurement history. In addition, the Soeks NEO Geiger counter allows for configuration of parameters such as interface language, units of measurement, background radiation signal threshold and cumulative dose settings, measurement algorithm settings, sound and light alarm settings, screen and power settings, measurement history calculation algorithm settings, and date and time settings. Soeks NEO measures ionizing radiation for gamma, beta, and X-ray particles. The NEO Geiger counter measures background radiation and displays the absorbed dose.

Measurement of ionizing radiation

Soeks NEO enables ionizing radiation measurements – the result is displayed on the screen, and when the permissible dose is exceeded, this is indicated by the display changing color to yellow or red. Additionally, a warning message appears and a warning sound is heard. The device can be operated by a person without specialized training, as it has a simple menu and convenient control buttons. To start the measurement, simply turn on the dosimeter, and the measurement will start automatically. The device comes with a user manual in Polish.

The new Soeks Prime model

This is the third, improved version of the popular Soeks Prime 01M meter. Soeks Prime gained popularity in Japan during the Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster. It differs from the old model primarily in its greater measurement accuracy, faster ionizing radiation measurement speed, a more efficient processor for faster operation, the ability to search for radiation sources, a new menu interface, and an improved power supply module. Soeks NEO is based on the proven and reliable SBM 20-1 Geiger tube, which is also used in other professional SOEKS personal dosimeters.
